Biography

ACTRESS

Minami, an exotic blend of Japanese and French ethnicities, is a passionate and dynamic actress.

Daughter of a French father and Japanese mother, Minami grew up in a culturally diverse background, shaping her deep and rich emotional palette. Born in Tokyo, Minami was drawn to acting from a young age and started her career at 13 years old. Since then, she has worked with a wide array of acclaimed directors in Japan such as Kinji Fukasaku, Yukio Ninagawa and Hideki Noda. Most recently, Minami was featured in Naomi Kawase’s new film Vision starring Juliette Binoche, to be released in 2018.

After appearing in more than 60 plays, movies and TV series, Minami wanted to take on a new challenge in her acting career. In 2015, she moved to Paris with the support of the Japanese Ministry of Culture. Minami trained at the Jacques Lecoq Theater School and is currently represented by the VMA Agency in Paris. In her spare time, Minami enjoys painting, singing, Krav Maga, and also classical, contemporary and traditional Japanese dance.
